Soviet Russian USSR Medal Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class with serial number in the 550-600 thousand range, scarcer "fisheye" type, awarded to Guards Starshina Aleksandr Nechaev, who earned decorations as driver of both the T-34 tank and SU-76 self-propelled gun! Nechaev earned this Order of the Patriotic War for. Actions during the final days of the war.

As part of the Prague offensive! From May 7 to 9, he covered 80 km in his SU-76 without accidents or breakdowns. In combat, his skillful driving kept the vehicle hidden as it approached the enemy defenses, allowing the crew to successfully accomplish its missions.

Nechaev had previously been awarded the Order of Glory 3rd Class as a T-34 driver for heroism in fighting for the village of Polyanska Huta, Ukraine, in October 1944. There, he spotted a German. Allowing his crew to destroy it.

He also crushed enemy soldiers and firing positions under the tanks' treads. The citation praises Nechaev's driving in challenging terrain. Indeed, one look at the village on a map shows hilly terrain, narrow valleys, and heavy woods. It is unclear if Nechaev ever physically received the Order of Glory he was supposed to be presented.

Nechaev was also wounded in October 1942 fighting on the Stalingrad Front. Condition is as seen in the images!
