The enamel has miniscule flakes at the tips of the 3 and 9 o'clock arms, but they are practically invisible to the naked eye. There are also a few tiny contact mark, also nearly unnoticeable without magnification. The enamel retains nice luster and shows no rubbing or other significant flaws of any kind. There are a few light scratches to the center medallion, but its details are nevertheless nicely preserved and crisp. The screw post is full or near full length, approx. 13 mm measured from its base. Original silver screw plate is included.

Original Soviet Military Order of Communist Era Military Army Part. Silver, enamels; measures 46.4 mm tall x 48.2 mm wide; weighs 28.1 g without the screw plate. This specimen was made in 1942 by the Moscow Mint, one of the early Red Stars made in the Soviet capital soon after their production was transferred there from the besieged Leningrad.
