Rare Soviet Russian Silver Rhomb Badge Molotov Transport Academy, 1st Type

  

Rare "rhomb" badge for a graduate of the "Molotov" Military Logistics Academy. 1st type, in silver, 1950s. Original screw disc included with veteran-added pad for wear.

The Rear Services & Supply Academy was one of the smaller Soviet military schools, and as such, this badge is one of the scarcest. Condition is as seen on the scans.

The name "Molotov" has been stricken from the badge, possibly due to Molotov's fall from power!!! In the USSR, individuals would frequently take it upon themselves to wipe out the names or pictures or disgraced political figures, like this, or by whiting out or drawing over their names in books, for example.
