Raketa brand watches have been manufactured since 1962, first in the Soviet Union and now in Russia, by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg, the oldest factory in Russia. It was founded by Peter the Great in 1721 as the Peterhof Lapidary Works to make hardstone carvings.

Raketa watches were produced for the Red Army, the Soviet Navy, for North Pole expeditions, as well as for civilians. Massive brass homemade case, made at a factory in the USSR. The upper part of the case securely fixes the mechanism. It can be oriented in any position. The time is adjusted by directly rotating the minute hand.

The clock runs quite accurately, with constant use there is no constant need for this. Parts of rockets of different calibers were used for the mechanism. Base - 2609N, automatic winding module from 2627N, holder from 3841.
