Very Rare Russian LP-2 Aircrew Mask w/ DP-2 Filter & PAF PreFilter in Bag w/US Govt Tag. Nov 21st 1988 is when the mask was acquired by the U. This grouping includes a 1972 dated LP-2 Mask, PAF PreFilter 1986, DP-2 Filter 1986 w/ hose, & the correct carrier bag dated 1985. Interestingly the carrier has wood pegs along the bottom to support the large filter. The holes/ stains are from the DP-2 filter corroding over time. Everything but the Carrier and DP-2 filter are in great condition. Mask still has all parts intact including the microphone & cable.

Very clean on the inside. Ive kept both filters in separate plastic bags to prevent further damage since acquired. The LP-2 mask is a regular black or white ShM-66MU with a cuff having an additional exhalation valve and a microphone DEMSh-1a built into the intercom device.

It can be connected to the oxygen breathing device KP-19 or KP-21. The KP-19 can be used when flying at an altitude of 4000 to 12000 m. The pressure of the supplied oxygen is lowered by a reducer. The KP-19 has a pulmonary action, the sensitive element is the membrane.

The device supplies the gas mixture only in case of inhalation. The composition of the gas mixture is regulated by the valve system automatically, using an aneroid, depending on the flight altitude. At an altitude of approximately 9000 m, the air intake opening is blocked and the device supplies only oxygen.

It can be equipped with an oxygen tank from flight half-masks. If you need more pictures or have any questions feel free to message me! Looking for offers & any more Information regarding the set!
