The Order of Lenin is in extremely high condition, with only a couple of superficial enamel chips. Patriotic War has the usual enamel chip at 12 o'clock.
Both Red Banner Orders are excellent and problem free. Group comes with color scans of citations and award decrees for all orders. Lieutenant Colonel Mishenko served as commander of 27th Guards Fighter Air Force Regiment.
Took part in fighting against Basmatchi (Far East), for which he was awarded with an Order of Red Banner of Labor in 1931! His Order of Lenin was awarded by decree of Dec. 31, 1941, for successful cover missions above Ladoga road, the life line road to Leningrad during blockade. Not only regiment of than Major Mishenko did exceptionally well, downing 107 enemy planes at the time of citation, but personally Major Mishenko flew 42 missions, participating in 8 dog fights, and scoring 1 personal kill in the process! And Order of Patriotic War 1st class was awarded to comrade Mishenko for personally! Flying on 81 missions, taking part in 9 dog fights, and scoring 2 personal + 1 shared victories! Very interesting real figher ace officer's group with desirable and rare Order of Lenin.
