Rare Second Variation N 2001. The "Excellent Worker in Socialist Competition of the USSR Textile Industry" badge is a departmental award presented to leading workers in the industry during the Soviet period. Early examples were made of silver with gilding and enamel at the Leningrad Mint (LMD). Ministerial period (after 1946): Due to the transformation of the People's Commissariats into ministries, the design of the badge was updated. It began to be produced in bronze or tombac using hot enamel.
