The work features a dynamic geometric composition of black, blue, red, yellow and brown forms on a light background, strongly reflecting Malevich's pioneering Suprematist aesthetic. This example is hand-numbered 65/300 in the lower margin and bears the Cyrillic inscription "??????? Of particular interest are the embossed blind stamps visible in the lower margin, including a prominent stamp marked U. And an additional circular embossed stamp. It appears to be an official USSR Ministry of Culture export/inspection stamp, not an artist's stamp. These stamps were placed on artworks that had been examined and authorized for export from the Soviet Union.
