The name of the watches was chosen in honor to the amphibian - a creature that feels comfortable both in water and on land. By order of the Navy of the USSR, the "Vostok" plant began to produce the military modification of the "Amphibian" watch, that was successfully tested during the naval exercises in the North Sea.
