And very rear Soviet Awards. Soviet gold medal, in commemoration of legendary construction of socialism in USSR (CCCP). Guaranty, order with the Soviet factory mint mark. The star is in solid 14 K gold , superimposed on five-sided sunburst plate in solid silver; suspension device is in gilded silver and enamel.
Pendant measures 30.5 mm in height incl. The eyelet, 27.0 mm in width; weighs 12.3 g without the suspension and connecting link; total weight with suspension is 16.2 g. Features hand- engraved serial number. Star made by solid 14K gold , body of the award silver with red ruby enamel.
27.40 mm in width & 42.61 mm height & 3.88 mm in thickness (watch the photos). 100% Solid Silver & solid Gold. The order is in excellent condition.
The enamel on the suspension has a single tiny scratch that is almost unnoticeable to the naked eye, otherwise perfect - completely free of the usual chips, flaking or rubbing. The gold star is extremely well-preserved: free of noticeable dings, with well-defined, crisp ridges and apex.
Nice, even patina to the silver starburst and reverse. The rivets holding the star are tight. The connecting link is original and has not been cut. A very attractive early example of one of the highest Soviet decorations! The Highest award for mothers Heroine "Giving birth to and rearing 10 children or more".
