FOUR Soviet Russian USSR Orders of the Red Star with close serial in the 700-thousand range, all awarded in the same place on the same date! In 1945 to NKVD officers in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The awards were for 15 years of long service in the NKVD. They were presented by the Chairman of the Kharkov Oblast.

It is very likely that the recipients were engaged in combatting the Ukrainian nationalist underground army during and after WWII. They were decorated alongside NKVD and Militia /Police officers who fought against the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and who had received awards for those actions.
